Brand Registry is the gate to Amazon’s best selling tools. If you’re building an actual brand, it’s not optional, here’s what it is, what you need, and how to enroll.
What is Amazon Brand Registry?
Amazon Brand Registry is a program that confirms you own your brand and unlocks enhanced selling and protection tools, A+ content, Brand Stores, Sponsored Brands and Display ads, and stronger control over your listings. It requires a registered or pending trademark.
What you need to enroll
- A trademark, registered, or pending through a supported IP office. This is the main requirement and the slowest to get, so start it early.
- An active seller account.
- Proof you own the brand, Amazon verifies via the trademark.
How to enroll, step by step
- Register your trademark (or start the application) in your selling country.
- Go to the Brand Registry site and sign in with your seller account.
- Enter your brand and trademark details.
- Amazon sends a verification code to the trademark’s official contact.
- Enter the code to confirm ownership.
- Once verified, the brand tools appear in your account.
What it unlocks
- A+ content, image-and-text modules that lift conversion.
- Brand Store, a mini-site for your whole catalog.
- Sponsored Brands & Display ads, the ad types that need registry (see ad types compared).
- Protection, faster removal of hijackers and counterfeit listings.
- Brand Analytics, real search-term data for keyword research.
Is it worth it?
For a real brand, easily. The conversion tools alone usually pay for the trademark, and the protection saves you from the nightmare of someone hijacking your listing. If setup feels daunting, we handle the whole thing, see the one-time Store Setup or our brand management service.
