Creating your Seller Central account is mostly data entry and verification. The trick is having everything ready so you don’t stall halfway. Here’s the whole flow.
How to create an Amazon Seller Central account
To create an Amazon Seller Central account, go to sell.amazon.com, choose a selling plan, enter your business and tax details, add your bank and card, and verify your identity with a government ID. With documents ready, it takes under an hour.
Before you start
Get these to hand (full list in Amazon seller requirements):
- Government-issued ID
- Bank account and a chargeable card
- Business name, address and tax information
- A phone number for verification
Step by step
- Go to sell.amazon.com and click Sign up.
- Sign in with an Amazon account, or create a new business one.
- Choose your selling plan, Individual or Professional.
- Enter your business location and type.
- Add your business and tax details exactly as they appear on official documents.
- Add your bank account and card.
- Complete identity verification, upload your ID and, if asked, join a short video call.
- Once verified, you land in Seller Central, ready to list.
Pass verification the first time
The most common hold-up is document mismatch. Make sure the name and address match across your ID, bank and business registration, and upload clear, uncropped scans. Consistency is what gets you approved fast.
